No welfare
The politicians promised us that the welfare state would meet our needs, but it was a lie.
Nobody will dispute that the welfare state has created material prosperity. But once the need for material goods is satisfied, the need for meaning announces itself. The politicians have told us that once we have eaten our fill of Weber-grilled pork chops and are watching Big Brother on the new flat-screen, we are happy. At least when there is Prozac for dessert!
The welfare state is a substitute religion: a collectivist, Christian mindset that has held Denmark in an evil and grotesque iron grip
The welfare state is a substitute religion: a collectivist, Christian mindset that has held Denmark in an evil and grotesque iron grip. The Nordic model is an idol we worship and hope will save us. But it has saved us no more than the old dead gods did. Welfare is happy pills for the people!
The welfare state promised us a community of solidarity, where few have too much and fewer too little. But the welfare state is not a way of caring for one another. It is merely an instrument of economic regulation. Once we have reached the top of the ladder, it stops – and then what is one supposed to do? The welfare state cannot meet our need for a meaningful existence and a purpose in life!
Welfare causes depression. Once the welfare state has ensured that Danes no longer spend all their time meeting their material needs, only the existential void remains. In Denmark, officially the happiest country in the world, depression has reached epidemic proportions.
The Nihilistic Democratic Party will help the depressed Danes! They need only realise that their lives are purposeless because the universe is sick – not they themselves. One gains an absurd freedom by giving up all hope. When God is dead, everything is permitted, and it is far more fun to be a nihilist than to be depressed. Vote NFP!
Better secure emptiness than empty security!
