No reality
NFP has chosen to put the spotlight on a growing and unacceptable problem: reality.
An alarmingly high proportion of the Danish population is still held captive by a naive belief that there is such a thing as reality, despite the evidence of leading researchers to the contrary. Society and the individual are best served by nipping this problem in the bud.
The fact is, of course, that reality is a media-made symbolic delusion that supplies the population with precisely the illusions of purpose and meaning needed to make anyone bother to carry out their meaningless labour of Sisyphus.
In Danish politics, "in reality" in reality means: in accordance with the media-made feelings and illusions of a majority of voters.
Let us face the facts: reality is pure spin.
So what lies behind our illusions and ridiculous notions? Nothing! Reality is pure spin.
Let us face the facts. An experience is an experience, whatever produces it. The world of World of Warcraft is more real than the so-called "real" world. Only there – unlike the meaningless world we have been brutally thrown into – was the world created by a good God. Only in Second Life can we humans realise our innermost desires, feelings and dreams.
NFP wants to solve the reality problem from a realpolitik angle and has therefore drawn up two concrete proposals:
Children and young people who can document that they spend a minimum of 8 hours a day playing World of Warcraft shall be exempted from compulsory schooling.
A tax-funded LSD scheme in schools, workplaces and care homes.
Be realistic – demand the unreal!
